Julie is getting regular transfusions now, which should help her feel stronger, and the thrush has abated a lot. She still has the mucositis, which makes swallowing and talking a problem, and sores in her mouth and throat (from the thrush AND mucositis), but she’s eating as well as she can and getting plenty of liquids.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock has started a saline bag and will be providing nutrients via an IV bag soon (just to supplement her regular eating, her oncologist told us, which is not uncommon). Otherwise, she is feeling tired and a little weak, which we’re told is perfectly normal with this treatment, but has so much warrior love in her heart.
Her neutrophils are low — making this a complicated time — but her fevers have been spaced further apart from one another, too. They have not found any infection and still believe these less frequent fevers might be a side effect of the chemo or her body repairing her mouth and throat.
As Jules enters this nadir period, she will probably be unresponsive to texts and e-mails. I would appreciate it if folks thought twice about reaching out to her personally (since she feels bad about not replying, but needs to conserve her energy). Please feel free to send these to me (randymoser@protonmail.com) and I’ll save them for her when she’s feeling less tired OR post them here and she’ll read them later.
Likewise, her room is small and filling up fast. If you want to send cards, you could send them to our home and I’ll make sure Jules knows that you’ve sent something. Our home is Concord is at:

We are both very grateful for the outpouring of support! Please keep the positive mojo rolling!
Thanks,
Randy
